1st Over 35's Ranking Tournament 2008-2009
Spawell Snooker Club - 27th September 2008
The 1st Over 35's tournament was played in Spawell Snooker Club on 27th September 2008. The competition was handicapped
with Premier League players off scratch, Division 1 off +10 and Division 2 off +20. Division 1's Naoise Kelly
(Glenalbyn 'A') emerged victorious with excellent victories including a 3-2 win over
Premier League's George O'Hara (A.L.S.A.A.) and a 3-0 win against fellow Glenalbyn 'A' player Mick Holohan.
Naoise's opponent in the final was Brendan Murphy (Spawell 'B') in the final, who beat
D.B.S.L. chairman Stephen Merrigan (Roadstone 'A') and team-mate Richard McAuley (Spawell 'B') to get there.
Naoise won the final 3-0 to be the 1st number 1 player in the over 35's rankings. He also made
