This year the race for the Division 1 League title couldnt’t have been closer with Roadstone A, Darcy McGees A, Willows A, Pioneers and Darcy McGees B all in the runnings right up to the penultimate week. After the final week of fixtures Darcy McGees A and Darcy McGees B are level on 61 points each. They will now face each other in a play-off match to decide who will be the 2018/19 Season winners.
Congratulations to Atiq Muhammad (Pioneers) who made a 115 break in his Division 1 match against Philip O Connor (Darcy McGees A) this week.
Congratulations to Roadstone’s Paul McGrane, who won the Division 1 Individual competition today in Darcy McGees Snooker Club. Paul beat Aaron Holland 3-0 in the final. Philip Browne had the highest break of the day with a break of 75.

Congratulations to Patrick Joyce, of the Classic Snooker Club, who won the Division 2 Individual competition. Patrick beat Roadstone’s Mark Garvey 2-0 in the final. Patrick also had the highest break of the day, with a break of 50.

Congratulations to Liam Brady, of Darcy McGees B, winner of the DBSL Handicap Tournament Series 3. Liam beat Philip Browne 3-2 in a close final. This was the first event in the series where an open draw was done for each section as the day progressed.

The DBSL would like to Congratulate Shane Mason who was awarded his Class 1 Refereeās Badge on the 26th January in Killarney after being assessed by Steve Starkie (EASB) Desi Stinson (NIBSA) and Neil Shannahan (RIBSA).
We wish Shane all the best on his snooker referee career and hope to see him progress in the Professional Arena.
