31st July 2010: Philip Browne (A.L.S.A.A.) won his 3rd Summer 6 Reds Tournament of the summer season in Carlow today.
He beat team-mate Robert Redmond 5-4 in the final. Earlier, Philip had beaten John Sutton (Celbridge)
3-2 in the semi-final. Philip has extended his lead as no.1 in the rankings to 8 points over Robert.
 
18th July 2010: Philip Browne (A.L.S.A.A.) won the latest Summer 6 Reds Tournament in Carlow today.
He beat Andrew Doherty 5-3 in the final. Earlier, Philip had beaten Stephen Reddington (Roadstone 'B')
4-3 in the quarter-final and Richie Flynn (A.L.S.A.A.) 5-3 in the semis. Philip is now no.1 in the rankings.
 
27th June 2010: Robert Redmond (A.L.S.A.A.) won the 3rd Summer 6 Reds Tournament in Carlow today.
He beat local player Colvin O'Brien 5-3 in the final. Robert had earlier beaten Johnny Williams (Maynooth)
5-1 in the quarter final and beat team-mate Philip Browne 5-4 in the semi-final, who he had lost to in the quarter-final last week.
Philip beat Roadstone 'A' player George Tierney for the second week running, this time 4-2 and also having to give a 10
point handicap to George.
 
20th June 2010: Philip Browne (A.L.S.A.A.) won the 2nd Summer 6 Reds Tournament in Carlow today.
He beat Vincent Muldoon (Waterford) 5-3 in the final. Earlier, Philip had beaten team-mate Robert Redmond
4-1 in the quarter final and Roadstone 'A' player George Tierney 5-2 in the semis.
 
Brendan Thomas (Roadstone 'C') - European Masters Championships 2010
4th June 2010: Joe Delaney (Wexford) lost 6-0 in the final of the Masters event
in the European Snooker Championships in Romania to former pro Darren Morgan (Wales).
Earlier John Torpey lost 5-3 to Dutch player Roy Stolk in the quarter-final of the Men's event.
John had already beaten fellow Limerick player Mario Fernandez 5-3 in the last 16.
D.B.S.L. player Brendan Thomas (Roadstone 'C') had previously lost 3-2 to David Brabiner (Jersey)
in the last 32 of the Masters's tournament,
while Clinton Franey (Wicklow) lost 4-0 to Kristjan Helgason (Iceland) and David Hogan (Nenagh)
lost 4-2 to Roy Fernandez (Israel) in the Men's event.

23rd May 2010: Brendan Thomas (Roadstone 'C') beat Stephen Merrigan
(Roadstone 'A') in the final of the D.B.S.L. Over 35's Championship today in
Roadstone Snooker Club.
 
23rd May 2010: Martin McCrudden (Kildare) beat Vincent Muldoon
(Waterford) in the final of the Irish National Championship today in Carlow.
 
 
21st May 2010: Congratulations to D.B.S.L. Secretary Brendan Murphy who got married
to his new wife Anne-Marie today.
 
16th May 2010: The Inter County Snooker Championships took place in
Caesar's Palace Snooker Club in Galway this weekend with Dublin 'A' winning the trophy defeating
Galway 'A' 3-1 in the final. They had earlier beaten Clare 'A' 3-1 in the semi-final.
Dublin had 3 teams taking part, a Premier League select team (Dublin 'A'), Glenageary (Dublin 'B') and
Dublin Bus (Dublin 'C').
The Premier League team were represented by Philip Browne, Robert Redmond,
George O'Hara (A.L.S.A.A.), Brendan Murphy (Spawell) and George Tierney (Roadstone 'A').
Mick Murphy
(Dublin 'C') had earlier had a notable scalp winning 3-0 against
Robert Redmond (Dublin 'A') during the group stages. Robert had the highest break with a 93.

Snooker Club tonight. Philip had beaten
George Tierney (
Roadstone 'A') 5-4 in the semi-final, while
Robert made a magnificent break of 139 in his 5-2 win over
Mark Dooley (
Roadstone 'A')
