25th April 2010: A.L.S.A.A. clinched the
Premier League Cup today with
a 9-8 win over
Spawell in
Spawell Snooker Club.
Willows 'A' beat holders
Howth CYMS
to win the
Division 1 cup, while
Roadstone 'G' beat
Racecourse in the

17th April 2010: Brendan Thomas (Roadstone 'C') beat team-mate Stephen Byrne 3-0 in the
final of the 6th East Intermediate in Crossguns Snooker Club today. Stephen and Brendan Griffin
(Roadstone 'E') shared the highest break with a 60.
 
11th April 2010: Rodney Goggins (147, Wexford) won
the 7th RIBSA senior ranking tournament in Carlow today.
He beat Robert Murphy (Q Club, Wicklow) 5-2 in the final. Best D.B.S.L.
performance was from Philip Browne (A.L.S.A.A.) who knocked out former
professional Colm Gilcreest on the way to the quarter-finals
before eventually losing to Goggins 4-0.
 
3rd April 2010: Wayne Doyle (
Glenageary) won the
Division 1 individual
today in
Roadstone Snooker Club, beating
Peter Murphy (
Willows 'A') 2-1 in the final.

27th March 2010: Ciaran Nangle (
Roadstone 'G') won the
Division 2 individual
today in
Roadstone Snooker Club, beating
Len Malone (
Roadstone 'H') in the final.

21st March 2010: The
European Team Championships took place in Malta
from 23rd-30th March and two D.B.S.L. players competed in the Masters team event.

20th March 2010: Wayne Doyle (Glenageary) won the fifth
East Intermediate in Celbridge Snooker Club today, defeating John McBride
3-2 in the final. Philip Browne (A.L.S.A.A.)
made the highest break of the tournament with a 83.

13th March 2010: Brendan Thomas (Roadstone 'C')
won the 4th Over 35's today in Glenalbyn Snooker Club,
beating Stephen Merrigan (Roadstone 'A') 2-1 in the
final. This was the first over 35's held in Glenalbyn and many thanks
go to Mick Holohan for providing excellent conditions and hospitality
throughout the day.
 
11th March 2010: Dublin Bus clinched the Division 2
title tonight with 2 matches to spare with a 4-0 win over
Roadstone 'F'. This leaves them 10 points clear over Roadstone 'F'
with only 8 more points available.
 
27th February 2010: Albert Kenny won the fourth
East Intermediate in Celbridge Snooker Club today, defeating Wayne Doyle
(Glenageary) 3-1 in the final. Philip Browne (A.L.S.A.A.)
made the highest break of the tournament with a 111, with Albert Kenny also making
a 102.
 
14th February 2010: Robert Murphy (Q Club, Wicklow) won
the 4th RIBSA senior ranking tournament in Carlow today.
He beat Robert Redmond (A.L.S.A.A.) 5-0 in the final. Robert is the
1st D.B.S.L. player to reach the final of a senior ranking tournament for a number
of seasons.
 
6th February 2010: Ross Doyle (Glenageary) won the fourth
RIBSA Under 14 Ranking Tournament in Celbridge Snooker Club today, defeating
Christopher Duffy (Northwest, Letterkenny) 2-0 in the final.
Ross also had the highest break of the tournament with a 44.
This is Ross's 3rd Under 14 tournament win of the season.
 
31st January 2010: Celbridge won the
2010 All Ireland Snooker Club Championship
in Killarney today defeating
QE1 from Northern Ireland in the final.
Celbridge had a very strong line-up, as all of their team have been in the top 10 in
RIBSA's senior rankings either now or in previous seasons. They were represented by
Martin McCrudden,
TJ Dowling,
Colm Gilcreest,
Phil Arnold,
John Sutton
and
Nigel Power.
Roadstone 'C' were the most successful of the D.B.S.L. teams,
winning their group, before eventually losing to last year's winners
St. Matthews
from Northern Ireland in the prelim round.

RIBSA Masters Event 4 2009-2010 Finalists
Frank Sarsfield (Limerick), Brendan Thomas (Roadstone 'C')
17th January 2010: Brendan Thomas (Roadstone 'C') made it two tournament wins
in consecutive days, winning the latest
Masters snooker tournament in Carlow today. He beat Frank Sarsfield
(Limerick) 3-2 in the final.
 
16th January 2010: Brendan Thomas (Roadstone 'C') won the 3rd Over 35's
today in Roadstone Snooker Club, beating George O'Hara (A.L.S.A.A.) 3-1 in the
final.
 
2nd January 2010: Roadstone 'A' won the All Ireland Club Championship
qualifiying tournament in Roadstone Snooker Club today, beating Spawell 3-0 in the
final. Both teams qualify for the All Ireland Club Championship,
along with Roadstone 'B', Roadstone 'C' and A.L.S.A.A.
who either qualified by reaching the semi-finals of the qualifying tournament or
winning their respective division last season. The All Ireland Club Championship
takes place in Killarney from 28th-31st January.
