19th December 2009: Ross Doyle (Glenageary) won the third RIBSA Under 14 Ranking Tournament in Ivy Rooms Snooker Club today, defeating Andrew Doherty (Terenure CYMS) 2-0 in the final, a repeat of the 1st tournament final of the season.
 
18th December 2009: The 6 Reds World Championship took place in the National Events Centre in Killarney from Tuesday 15th - Friday 18th December. 5 D.B.S.L. players took part and their results along with pictures from the event are available here.
 
5th December 2009: The 2nd Over 35's tournament took place today in Roadstone Snooker Club, with Paul Smith (Roadstone 'A') beating team-mate Stephen Merrigan 3-1 in the final.
 
29th November 2009: Eddie Ingle (Roadstone 'A') won the third East Intermediate in Navan Snooker Club today, defeating Stephen Reddington (Roadstone 'B') 3-2 in the final. Philip Browne (A.L.S.A.A.) had the highest break with a 75.

World Amateur Masters Championships Venue, Hyderabad, India
22nd November 2009: Brendan Thomas (Roadstone 'C') lost in the last 32 of the World Amateur Masters Championship in India today. He lost 4-2 to Munier Cassim (South Africa), and with Joe Delaney (Wexford) also losing his last 32 match, Irish participation in the Masters championship has ended. Brendan won 4 of his 5 matches in his group, to finish 2nd in the group behind Glen Wilkinson (Australia). In the Mens tournament, Greg Casey (Cork) and Leonard Shanahan (Shannon) both lost in the last 64, while the last Irish player standing Mario Fernandez (Limerick) lost his last 32 match this morning.

8th November 2009: Mario Fernandez (St. John's, Limerick) won the 2nd RIBSA senior ranking tournament in Carlow. He beat Vincent Muldoon (Waterford) 5-4 in the final. Best D.B.S.L. performance came from Robert Redmond (A.L.S.A.A.) who reached the semi-final before being beaten by Fernandez.
 
Over 35's 09-10 Tournament 1 Finalists
31st October 2009: Brendan Thomas (Roadstone 'C') won the 1st Over 35's tournament took place in Roadstone Snooker Club today, beating team-mate Brendan Murphy 2-1 in the final. Stephen Merrigan (Roadstone 'A') had the highest break with a 67.
 
29th October 2009: 12 year old Ross Doyle (Glenageary) made a 63 break in his 2-0 win over Andrew Carton (Willows) in Division 1 this week.
 
27th September 2009: Ross Doyle (Glenageary) won the first RIBSA Under 14 Ranking Tournament in Celbridge Snooker Club today, defeating Andrew Doherty (Terenure CYMS) 3-0 in the final. Ross also had the highest break with a 52.
 
26th September 2009: Philip Browne (A.L.S.A.A.) won the first East Intermediate in Roadstone Snooker Club today, defeating Karl Ellis (Roadstone) 3-0 in the final. Stephen Reddington (Spawell) had the highest break with a 68. Full results from the intermediate are available here.
 
25th July 2009: Philip Browne (A.L.S.A.A.) won the latest 6 reds competition in Carlow today. He beat Johnny Williams (Carrickmacross) 4-0 in the semi-final before defeating Declan Brennan from Northern Ireland 4-3 in the final.
